Q: I feel I have a warranty claim, how do I exercise it?

A: Contact the dealer where the unit was purchased. If corrective measures are not undertaken promptly, contact Dorplex Customer Services at  416-744-3667. Hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm (EST) Monday - Friday.

Q: What are the advantages of fiberglass over wood and steel?

A: Unlike wood doors, fiberglass won't dent, crack, split or splinter. Unlike steel doors, fiberglass won't dent, rust or warp, either. Fiberglass also resists shrinking and swelling with temperature changes, allowing the finish to last three times longer than on a wood door. The solid polyurethane foam core offers five times greater insulation value than wood doors.

Q: Why should I select a Dorplex door?

A: Dorplex is the market leader and innovator in custom steel and fiberglass door technology in Canada. Our steel and fiberglass doors are more durable and energy-efficient than wood  doors. And because of our commitment to quality, our lines of steel and fiberglass doors are backed by our limited Lifetime Warranty--the best in the industry.

Q: How can I get a list of local Dorplex dealers for my area?

A: Please call us at 416-744-3667 for a dealer in your area.

Q: Are steel doors the only option?

A: Steel doors have become the product of choice for most projects over the years, and with proper attention to the strength issues, they offer a great solution for homeowners. Another choice that is becoming more common are ‘fiberglass’ skin doors. These doors offer the best of steel and wood, in that they are low maintenance but can be stained to look like wood.

Q: Is it possible to just change the door ‘slab’ in my home without changing the complete frame?

A: Yes. All our door designs are available in steel framed replacement doors that fit over an existing wood frame.

Q: I have seen a style of glass in a door that I like in a show home, would I be able to get something similar from Dorplex?

A: There are literally hundreds of door glass, or ‘lite’ styles available on the market. In most cases it is the cost of this door lite that will have the greatest impact on the final cost of your new door. The more elaborate the lite is the more it will cost. At Dorplex we have our own in-house custom glass department that can recreate any design.
